Weeks 10-13
December 2008-January 2009
The abutments are finished and prepared for the bridge to be installed.
Water flow returns to the creek channel.
The crane hoists the bridge sections over the creek and into the abutments.
Crews put the finishing touches on the bridge installation. The finished product is a restored creek
that allows unimpeded steelhead trout migration.
A smaller Arizona crossing on the same property is removed and decommissioned. Without a bridge replacement, the construction process is much easier. This crossing is removed and the creek channel restored in only one day.
