Cate School Project
Project Summary

Major construction at the Cate School Project is complete. The steelhead migration barrier on Carpinteria Creek
has been removed and replaced with a naturalized creek channel. This project opens several miles of the
main stem of the watershed. Replanting native trees and shrubs will occur over the next several weeks.

Before: The old Arizona crossing blocks steelhead trout migration and causes downstream erosion of the creek banks.
